Blue Howlite earings

Blue howlite is a turquoise colour.

It is an extremely calming stone. It brings the wearer a sense of patience and helps get rid of anger and rage. Because of this sense of calm the stone brings about, it is used as a sleep aid. Placed under the pillow, it allows the wearer to have a good night's sleep, and stops the wearer's overactive mind which does not allow him to rest.

Howlite ranks 3.5 on the Mohs scale of hardness.

How to store:  Keeping different types of gemstones together can cause friction, which may lead to surface abrasions or scratches. So try to store your amethyst jewelry in a silk or velvet-lined box or wrap it in a soft cloth.

Swimming pool water, which is full of chloride, household chemicals and perfumes can damage your stones so try and avoid contaminating them.
